A 16-year-old student at North Cobb High School has accused the school system of failing to protect him and stifling his identity after coming to school dressed in female attire. Jonathan Escobar recently relocated to Cobb County and left school on Sept. 30 after he says school officials told him to stop wearing women’s clothing. School officials said North Cobb did everything possible to accommodate Escobar, who was unwilling to cooperate. “I’m an artist and this is my art,” Escobar told Southern Voice of his style of dress.
